To help local manufacturers suffering as a result of COVID-19, the Seoul city government will provide them with an additional 3.4 million U.S. dollars worth of subsidies.
This follows the first batch, that was distributed back in early July. In the second round, another 400 companies in the fields of clothing, sewing, handmade shoes, prints and jewelry will receive subsidies. Firms with under 50 employees can receive up to 25,000 U.S. dollars.
However, as part of the conditions of the subsidy, they must maintain their number of workers for at least three months. Applications can be made online through July 30th.
